Chapter 10

Ian wasn’t sure how long he sat with his head on Jessen’s shoulder, but he gradually became aware of two things. The rock hard erection that had been pressing against the inside of his thigh was gone, and Jessen was trembling with laughter.

At first, Ian thought he was laughing at him. He sat up, ready to defend himself.

“What’s so funny?”

“Oh, baby…”

Jessen grabbed the hem of his soiled tee and whipped it over his head. It landed somewhere in the corner of Ian’s room. Then he wrapped his arms around Ian and pulled him into a hug.

His mind snagged on the fact that Jessen was now half-naked and that he was holding him like he mattered.

“What about you?”

“Hmm?” Jessen’s voice had taken on a dreamy quality.

Ian leaned back and let his gaze flick down to Jessen’s groin. “Aren’t you…I mean, don’t you wanna…?”

Jessen splayed a hand over Ian’s cheek, his expression fond. “Already taken care of.”

“Huh?”

Jessen started to laugh again and the penny dropped for Ian.

His eyes went wide. “You…?”

“Came in my pants like a pubescent teen? Yep. You did that to me, young Ian.”

He frowned. “Don’t call me that. Not after…just don’t. Okay?”

Jessen sobered, nodding once. “Okay.”

Ian allowed Jessen to pull him close, relishing the warm, hard press of his muscles against his own chest.

“Can I take my shirt off too?”

“Why are you asking?”

Ian sat up. “I don’t know the protocol here.”

Jessen chuckled, reaching up to brush the hair back from Ian’s eyes.

“The protocol is you do what feels good.”

“I think having your skin against my skin would feel good.”

He smiled. “I think so too.”

Together, they removed Ian’s hoodie and then his t-shirt.

Jessen wasted no time pulling Ian back into his arms, and it felt incredible. Warm skin against warm skin. Toned muscle against toned muscle. It felt the way Ian always thought it would, only better.

“Better?” Jessen’s voice echoed Ian’s thoughts and had taken on a deeper timbre that made his skin hum.

“Mmm, better.”

Jessen’s arms tightened around him as if holding him was an imperative. A need.

Ian had never had that, had never been held like that. He had never shared himself in that way. Had never had anyone who wanted to just hold him.

“Ian?”

“Yeah?”

“Can I stay tonight?” Jessen sounded almost shy. “We can cuddle like this, nothing more if that’s what you want, I just…”

Ian raised his head and met Jessen’s gaze. “Please stay.”

Jessen smiled, his blue eyes twinkling, and pecked him on the lips.

They stood slowly and stripped down to their underwear.

Ian had to lend Jessen a clean pair and turned around to give him privacy when he changed, which made Jessen laugh. Then they climbed into his too-small-for-two-guys-over-six-feet bed.

Once again, Ian found himself wrapped up in Jessen’s arms.

He fit his thigh over one of the taller man’s legs. There was more skin, more heat, just more of everything and Ian was overwhelmed. They lay in the cool sheets and the dark night, the only sound in the room their mingled breaths.

Jessen traced lazy circles over Ian’s back with smooth fingertips.
